2) There is a shortage of electricity supply in matheran, check for the load shedding timings before you book any room in matheran.

3) In the monsoons make sure you carry umbrellas and rainy jackets and good trekking shoes as the road gets quite muddy.

4) Wear trekking shoes and short pants if posible, they will be turned red while walking or trekking through the sandy red paths.

5) While booking and confirming rooms, offer to check rooms first. Check for water supply, cleanliness and power availability.
